Passport to Adventure Disney on Ice Show Review

The Passport to Adventure Disney on Ice show stars Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy as they take a journey to various magical Disney worlds. Included in this show is some very talented skating, fireworks, beloved Disney characters and all the magic of Disney. My family and I recently had the opportunity to attend this show while it was at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.

Passport to Adventure started out with Mickey and his gang visiting Africa and the story of The Lion King. I have always loved the music in The Lion King and this show included some of my favorites like: ” Can You Feel the Love Tonight”, “Hakuna Matata” and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King”. In this part of the show we got to see Simba grow up and accept his role as the king. The costumes were very beautiful, and all the monkeys brought a smile to our faces.

The next stop on this magical journey was under the sea with The Little Mermaid. My favorite part in this act were the jellyfish that really looked alive as they were moving along. Prince Eric and Ariel looked incredible together and their skating was so talented. Kids of all ages loved the GIANT Ursula inflatable and what fun to see brave Prince Eric “deflate” her.

Next up was Lilo and Stitch. It was very heartwarming to see Stitch arrive on Earth and be adopted by Lilo who was very desperate for a friend. I loved the positive message in this story – Ohana means family and family means NO one gets left behind!

After intermission it was time for the second act of the show. This entire act is the story of Peter Pan which starts in London with the Darling kids. This part of the show is filled with lots of great props including Captain Hook’s ship and giant crocodile. It was very cool t see Peter and the kids actually “fly” above us. The kids loved seeing Captain Hook get what he had coming to him as he “fell” into the crocodile’s giant mouth.

If you are ready for to enjoy some lovable characters, exciting destinations, talented skating, great singing and dancing and fun for the whole family, then you will want to get your tickets to the Passport to Adventure show. My girls mentioned they missed seeing Cinderella, Snow White and some of their other favorite girl characters that are often present in previous Disney on Ice shows we visited. I think the absence of some of these more girly characters may make this particular show one that even the boys in your family will love.
