Giant Shopping Trip: $17 Moneymaker on Pillsbury and Smucker’s Products

When I first saw this week’s Giant deals, I thought it looked like just a mediocre week, and I figured I won’t be adding a lot of Gas Points to my account. Well, I’m happy to say I was totally wrong and that this is another FANTASTIC week to earn Gas Points.

The items pictured above have a shelf price of $72.68 and after sales, coupons and instant savings I paid $32.25. I then earned 2000 Gas Reward Points which equal $50 worth of fuel at my next 25 gallon fill up. After figuring in my Gas Points, this purchase ended up being a moneymaker of $17.75! It really doesn’t get easier – fill your cart with groceries, pay for your purchases and for the one price you pay out you end up with groceries and gasoline.

The Pillsbury Frosting is a phenomenal deal this week. Read this post to learn more about the Instant Savings associated with this deal. As you can see, you will see that $12.00 came off at the register when I purchased this frosting. I was thinking that I was going to get $8 off my total so that fact that it was more than that was a surprise. Like I stated in the previous post, I’m not 100% sure what is triggering these savings but from what I can tell it is a $4 instant savings for every 8 frostings purchased. I’m wondering if the cake mixes and brownies are also triggering these extra savings?
