Streak Free Glass Cleaner Recipe

Have you ever tried making your own glass cleaner? I wipe my kitchen counters a minimum of once a day and use glass cleaner for this job. It seemed like I was buying Windex all the time. Then I tried making my own glass cleaner and when I realized how easy it was to mix and how much money I could save by making my own, I was completely sold and haven’t needed to buy glass cleaner since.

I love this homemade glass cleaner because it is less expensive, nontoxic and made from ingredients I already have on hand. The products in this recipe can be bought very inexpensively with a sale or coupon.

And the best part about this cleaner is that it will give you streak free results on mirrors, widows, and counter tops. By using a microfiber cloth when cleaning with this glass cleaner, I have greatly reduced the amount of paper towels I buy plus the cloths can be washed and reused over and over.

Streak Free Glass Cleaner

2 Tablespoons Ammonia

½ cup Rubbing Alcohol

4 cup water

1 teaspoon Dish Detergent

Combine the first three ingredients in an empty spray bottle (approx. 32 oz. size). Add the dish detergent last to prevent lots of suds from forming when adding the water.
