Rite Aid shoppers, have you noticed recently on your Rite Aid receipts a new feature called Load 2 Card? This new feature went into effect on September 2, 2012.
Here are the benefits they are advertising with this new feature:
- You can now be eco-friendly by going paperless. +UP Rewards will be added directly to your wellness+ card through Load2Card right when you earn them.
- Easily manage your loaded +UP Rewards on your computer or smartphone through your wellness+ online account.
- To redeem a +UP Reward, simply scan your wellness+ card at check out and the register will automatically recognize eligible +UP Rewards.
If you prefer to have you Up Rewards continue to print out on the bottom of your receipt it is very easy to opt out of this new feature. You can opt at the register next time you are in the store or call customer service at 1-800-RITEAID. I opted out at the register and it was very easy and the cashier herself recommended opting out. Are you planning to opt out?
There were several reasons I opted out. One reason being I like to have my Up’s in front of me so I can make sure I use them all before they expire and also when paying I want to use the ones that are expiring first. I had heard rumors that with the Load 2 Card that the highest amount Up’s would be used 1st. No thanks, but I would rather choose which Up’s I want to use in each transaction and feel like I have better control over the Up Rewards. If you have a problem keeping track of your Up Rewards this may be a good option for you but for myself, right now I decided to opt out.
Please note, all Up’s regardless if they are loaded to card or printed out, are not valid until 6 am the following day. So this means you can’t split your purchases up into 2 transaction and
Also the Video Value coupons that you watch each month will now be loaded directly to your card and will come off automatically at the register. I’m excited about that, as that means less coupons to print, cut and keep track of.
