Who else loves being paid to grocery shop? This Giant shopping trip included the McCain Smiles, which were a $3 moneymaker. I used this overage then in turn to pay for the grapes. Really, who is going to say no to free fruit?! Shelf price for the above items was $25.87 but after sales and coupons, I paid $9.68. I then earned $10 in Gas Rewards which makes this shopping trip FREE plus a moneymaker of $0.32!
In case you are thoroughly confused as to how the Gas Deals work at Giant let me try to explain how I figure. Paying for fuel at the pump is I need to do if I want to drive my car. Either way with or without free fuel points from Giant I’m going to buying gas somewhere on a regular basis. And here is the reason I love Giant – instead of paying money out of pocket for both groceries and fuel every week, I can spend money out of pocket for only one of these two items and get the other one for FREE! In my case, I figure the savings off the groceries because like I stated before either way I need to buy fuel. Does that make sense? That is the reason that as in this case I say that the moneymaker went towards my grape purchase. Regardless of how you figure when you shop Giant Gas Deals you are getting both groceries and fuel all for the price of one.
Here is a breakdown of my Giant purchases:
