After a few weeks with only mediocre gas deals at Giant, it is super exciting to see some amazing offers this week.
The items pictured are from my Giant shopping trip today and have a shelf price of $111.50. After sales and coupons, I paid $71.96. I then received $14 in Catalinas and Checkout 51 offers and 3500 gas points. These gas points equal $3.50 off per gallon of fuel or $87.50 off my next fill up of 25 gallons. If I paid only $71.96 out of pocket and got $101.50 back in free fuel and Catalinas, that made this shopping trip a $29.50 moneymaker! Have I mentioned I love to shop especially when I’m making money in the process!!
I shopped at two different Giant stores and split my items up into different transactions so that I could best utilize the Clorox Catalina that is printing. If you are planning to do several transactions, I would suggest “rolling” your Catalina. For example the Catalina that would print in Transaction 1 could be used in Transaction 2 so that your out of pocket cost is lower. Just to keep things simpler I didn’t show it that way, but that I typically roll my Catalina from transaction to transaction.
Also, it appears the Keebler Snack Cup deal is no longer working. It is rare that Giant pulls a deal mid-week, but this looks like a time when that is what happened.
