Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Ingredients
  • ½ cup cocoa, packed
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. Mix cocoa and water in saucepan.
  2. Heat and stir to dissolve the cocoa.
  3. Add the sugar and stir to dissolve.
  4. Boil 3 minutes.
  5. Add the salt and the vanilla.
  6. Pour into a jar or container.
  7. Store covered in the refrigerator.
  8. Keeps for several months.
  9. Makes 2 cups.
