Ingredients
  • 2 cups warm water (about 105Ā° F)
  • 2 Tablespoons yeast
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 5 cups white bread flour
Instructions
  1. Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and let sit for about 5 minutes until it is foamy.
  2. Add the oil, honey, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture.
  3. Stir in the 3 cups whole wheat flour.
  4. Add in the white flour until the dough just pulls cleanly away from the bowl.
  5. Transfer it to a well-floured surface and knead until it becomes elastic and smooth.
  6. Place dough in an oiled bowl covered by a damp towel in a warm place to rise. Let rise until doubled in size (about 1-2 hours).
  7. Punch down and form into three loaves and place in baking pans.
  8. Let the bread rise (approximately 1 hour until it is desired height of finished loaf) and bake at 350 for about 20 - 25 minutes.
