American Music Theatre Presents INSPIRE (Review and Ticket Giveaway)

There is a new show in town this summer is called Inspire. My family and I recently had the chance to attend this show at the gorgeous American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA. And let me tell you this is a show that is filled with lots of inspiring music that my whole family enjoyed.

American Music Theatre is located in the heart of the PA Dutch tourist area right along Route 30 and is home to both AMT Original Shows as well as touring concerts. Parking is free at AMT, and all the staff members are so super friendly. Everyone from the parking lot attendants to the ushers in the 1600 seat theatre are working to make sure your visit a memorable one.

Now on to the show! Inspire is a beautiful show filled with lots of incredible vocal harmonies, dancing, lovely sets and varying emotions. The Inspire show focuses on six inspirations: Hope, Courage, Faith, Love, Freedom, and Joy.

Inspire follows two individuals striving to find their path in life, and features songs that take them on a touching journey from heartbreak and poignancy to happiness and joy. Their journey begins with a moving version of “Dreamboat Annie”.

The show then moves onto songs in the Hope theme. This segment includes “Born to Fly” and “Climb Every Mountain”. Next up in Act I are songs related to Courage, which include”Live Like You Were Dying” and “Boy From The Country”.

Act I ends with the Faith segment, and I would have to say this was my favorite part of the show as it included one of my very most favorite songs, “You Raise Me Up”. My 6-year-old daughter was super excited that her favorite song, “Amazing Grace” was included in this section of the show.

The songs in the first section of Act II were all about love and included “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, “Harvest Moon” and “My Heart Will Go On”. Next up were songs under the title of Freedom and included “American Medley”. During the song “Seven Bridges Road” the entire cast was on stage singing. The harmonies of all the combined voices during this number were amazing and so inspiring!

The Inspire show finishes out with songs under the title of Joy. How could we not feel joyful when listening to “I’m Alive”, “Something In the Water” and my husbands and daughters favorite “Happy”!

I love that AMT always uses a live band in their Original Shows and during the Inspire show, the band is way up high on a structure that looks like a bridge. It is under this bridge like structure that videos are being shown throughout the show. And did I mention all the astounding sets and props that help to make this show the best one around?

Just like previous shows we attended at American Music Theatre this one was another fantastic event that was enjoyed by all. My husband, kids and I left AMT that night with smiles on our faces, happy uplifted feelings in our hearts and lots of inspiration!
