American Music Theatre 2014 Joy to the World Christmas Show + Ticket Giveaway

A favorite Christmas tradition for our family always includes a visit to American Music Theatre. There is nothing like this amazing holiday show with beautiful harmonies, awesome music, dance, lovely costumes, a live orchestra, and more to get into the spirit of the season and remind one of all the things that make Christmas special.

Joy to the World is American Music Theatre’s all new 2014 Christmas show that your whole family will enjoy. This Christmas show is held at the beautiful 1,600-seat auditorium of American Music Theatre located on the Lincoln Highway in Lancaster, PA.

As the curtain comes up on Act 1 of Joy to the World, the stage becomes a magical small town square filled with holiday cheer, decorations, family and friends. The set for this town is amazing and complete with houses, carnival type games, a large tree, snow, lights and so much more. Songs such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”, “Let it Snow”, and “Carol of the Bells” are performed in the town square. This act gives everyone a good feeling that comes from celebrating Christmas with family and friends.

Act 2 begins with a story of Santa and his very colorfully outfitted elves. This part of the show is fun for kids of all ages and includes lots of laughs and songs like “Believe”, “What Christmas Means to Me”, and “Jingle Bells”.

The second part of this act then switches to some great sacred carols and songs sung among a manger scene that included very moving and powerful songs like “The Lord’s Prayer”, “Breath of Heaven”, and “O Holy Night”. If my husband and I would have to name our very most favorite part of the Joy to the World show, we would both say it was the this part as it included some of our favorite sacred Christmas songs and they were played and sung with such emotion and feeling and once again reminded us of what Christmas is really about.

The Joy to the World is a great Christmas show full of holiday cheer that the whole family will love. If you are within driving distance of Lancaster, PA and looking to get in the spirit of the holidays then the American Music Theatre is the place you will want to head.
