I’m excited to be part of my first ever Food Fun Hop blog event hosted by Shy Babies & Little Inspiration. The sponsor of this event is Wholly Guacamole. The other day I received a cooler full of Wholly Salsa’s new products. We are huge fans of Mexican food, so one of our favorite places to eat, of course is a local Mexican restaurant. They serve the best fresh salsa there. I couldn’t wait to see how Wholly Salsa compared to that salsa. Good news, I no longer have to go out to get delicious tasting salsa. After the first bite I was in love with Wholly Salsa. It is every bit as good as the stuff we get when eating out and it can be purchased at the grocery store in the refrigerated section. My favorite part about Wholly Salsa besides the fact that it comes in so many different flavors is, that the salsa is all natural. There are no yucky additives or preservatives in this salsa, only things that are good for you! The new flavors in the Wholly Salsa line include:
- Classic Mild, Medium, Hot
- Avocado Verde
- Guacamole & Spicy Pico
- Pineapple
- Roasted Tomato
- Red Pepper Mango
Besides writing this review, I needed to make a recipe using a Wholly Salsa product to share with you. I chose to use the Classic Mild salsa in my recipe. The following hot dip recipe is very quick and easy to mix up and makes a great appetizer or even late night snack.
Wholly Salsa Hot Hamburger Dip
1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
1 1/2 cup Wholly Salsa (flavor of your choice)
1 10.75 oz. can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 10.75 oz can Cream of Tomato soup
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
- Brown the hamburger in a small frying pan
- Mix the remaining ingredients and add the hamburger
- Heat in an oven at 350° for 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted
- Serve with corn or other similar chips
