On my shopping trip this week at Giant I was able to score sugar, pepperoni, Canada Dry, and cookie mixes. All of these items were included in the Extra Gas Rewards category and resulted in earning me a moneymaker on fuel! These items have a shelf price of $67.41 but after sales and coupons I paid only $39.40. This purchased earned me 1600 gas points or $1.60 off per gallon of fuel. On a 30 gallon fill up this is $48 worth of gas! This mean I paid $39.40 for my groceries and earned $48 worth of fuel. The way I look at this, this shopping trip was a moneymaker of $8.50!

Awesome! I’m not able to do too many of the gas deals right now because we did the $500 Visa gift card deal the other week several times and so don’t really need the gas…..but I guess that was more of a moneymaker anyway so in the long run we are farther ahead. Still, it spites me to miss out on these deals!
