ColorTime Recycle Tote Bag and Markers Review and Giveaway (ends 1/16/13)

 
Living in an area where the winter days are cold, my kids don’t spend near as much time playing outside in the winter months. That means I hear a lot of, “Mom, I’m bored! What can I do?”. When we recently received this Color-Your-Own “Recycle Tote Bag” and 3 markers from ColorTime Crafts, I knew it would make the perfect boredom buster for my daughter.

My daughter couldn’t wait to color her tote bag. And the really great part is, that when you receive your ColorTime products they are ready to go! No prewashing or anything like that. Open the package and the fun and creativity can start right away.

The only thing you will need is something to stick in the the tote bag to prevent the colors from bleeding through to the back of the bag. The directions suggested a piece of paper towel, so that is what I stuck inside my daughter’s bag. And then your kid can color away. The neat thing about the included markers is that they are permanent but non-toxic and it will wash off your hands and skin.

There were only three fabric markers included and I thought it a few more colors would have made the finished product more colorful. Next thing I knew my daughter was coloring blue over yellow and making green. Until it was all said and done she used her three markers and ended up with six colors on her bag. I was very impressed with her creativity.

I liked that the colors dried almost instantly and as soon as you are finished coloring your product it is ready to use. No need to heat set the colors. And the product can be washed normally in the washer and the colors won’t fade.
