Do you have preschoolers who love Disney Junior? If you do, then you will want to check out the Disney Junior Live on Tour! Pirate and Princess Adventure. This brand new production features characters from Sofia the First and Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
We recently had the opportunity to attend this Disney Junior show at the Santander Arena (formerly the Sovereign Center) in Reading, PA. My daughters were excited to see Sophia, Jake, Izzy, Cinderella, Mickey and Minnie and other loved characters on the stage.
Ten minutes pre-show Doc McStuffins came on stage and delighted the audience with a short interactive clinic including getting everyone on their feet dancing and singing along to “The Check-Up” song.
As the curtain goes up, your journey to the magical world of Enchncia begins. Here you will meet Sophia, James and Amber and others as they are preparing for the annual friendship festival. Sofia has the honor of deciding on and delivering the perfect gift to those attending the festival.
On the way to helping Sophia find the perfect present, we not only get to meet Cinderella and the god mothers but we also get to see super cute dancing cupcakes and visit etiquette school and learn the meaning of being a real princess.
After a short intermission, Jake took the stage and led the audience on a journey to Never Land. On the search for the treasure-filled volcano we met Captain Hook, Izzy, Cubby, Mr. Smee, Skully and others.
Adventure, danger and thrills wait around every turn on the way to the volcano. The audience was thrilled by the special appearance of Peter Pan “flying” above the stage to help on this adventure. And with the help of some pixie dust, Jake and his crew were also able to “fly” and rescue Captain Hook. The volcano erupting in lots of confetti was a great finale.
